The Bowl Blog: Second Chance

Throughout the week, Citrus College sophomore defensive back Rodney Mathews will be blogging about the Citrus College Football Bowl experience. The Owls will be taking on Fullerton College this Saturday in the Western State Bowl at location to be announced. The kickoff time is also still TBA. Today's blog is the initial entry of The Bowl Blog.

I am very excited about getting to play in a bowl game one last time with my teammates and my coaches. I've had such a great experience playing for the Citrus college football program and last Friday night's game is not how I wanted to end it, so I am very grateful to get a second chance at ending my Citrus career the right way. This Fullerton team is very talented and has plenty of out-of-state guys, however I know that we can finish off strong and win with our local guys just like we've been doing all year.
