Glendora, CA - Citrus College sophomore offensive lineman Brad Rowland has signed a scholarship offer with the University of Buffalo. Rowland is the fourth Owl to sign a scholarship offer this year, and continues Citrus' strong tradition of moving on offensive lineman to the Division I level.

Rowland was a two-year starter for the Owls on the offensive line. Rowland manned the tackle position on the line, anchoring it throughout his time on the gridiron.

"I want to pursue a career as a physical therapist and Buffalo has a strong medical program. That's a huge reason for choosing the University of Buffalo," Rowland said. "I also fell in love with the coaching staff and the environment."

In addition to his successes on the field, Rowland was also extremely successful in the classroom. Rowland was named a Citrus College Scholar Baller (those student-athletes with GPAs of at least 3.0), and after the 2014-2015 academic year, Rowland was recognized by the college as a "Distinguished Student" for his work in Kinesiology Theory.

"Citrus has been essential part of all of this," Rowland said. "The coaches have been mentors for me along the whole way, and they've helped me stay on track throughout the entire recruiting process."

"Brad is another great example of the type of student-athlete that we like to recruit and matriculate here at Citrus College," said Citrus College Head Football Coach Ron Ponciano. "Brad is a hard worker in the weight room, on the field, and in the classroom. We have no doubt that, that work ethic will carry with him to Buffalo and in to his future life endeavors."
