Citrus College dominated its second game of the season, grabbing a 50-14 victory over Grossmont College on Saturday.

The Owls remain undefeated at 2-0 while the Griffins slip to 1-1.

Adam Urena threw six touchdown passes in the win, without any interceptions, tying the school record for most touchdowns in a game, previously set by Larry Cutbirth in 2013.

Citrus wasted little time and scored its first touchdown less than four minutes into the first quarter. Urena found Jesse Carmona for 38 yards to put the Owls on the board first. Urena then found Jacob Meza just before the quarter finished to extend Citrus' lead.

Urena kept rolling and threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Alex Vazquez five minutes into the second quarter before the Griffins could break through.

Grossmont tried to battle back and scored a touchdown in the third to cut the score to 21-14, but Urena found his brother Austin Urena for a 14-yarder to keep some distance.

Adam Urena threw back-to-back touchdowns in the fourth, including a two-point conversion, before Elijah Finnley grabbed a 19-yard interception return to secure the blowout victory, 50-14.

Jose Valdez was a perfect six-for-six on point-after-touchdown attempts.

The Owls look to keep rolling and head to the College of the Desert on Saturday for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
