Despite keeping its hot streak with its program-best start to the season, Citrus College fell in both ranking polls.

The Owls – who sit 8-0 on the year – dropped two spots on the JC Athletic Bureau Football Poll to No. 19, while slipping three spots on the CCCSIA Football Poll, also to No. 19.

Citrus continues to rank in multiple statistical categories in the State, including second in defensive interceptions (14) and passing touchdowns (27), along with third in defensive touchdowns (five).

Adam Urena leads the State with 27 passing touchdowns – which also ties the Citrus program record for most touchdown passes in a single season – and sits fifth with 260.5 passing yards per game.

Citrus has two games left in the regular season, heading to Glendale College on Saturday for an important matchup. Both the Owls and the Vaqueros boast undefeated records in American Metro League action, with the conference championship on the line.
