Citrus College's Isaiah Loera was named the Southern California Football Association Special Teams/All-Purpose Player of the Week after helping the Owls grab a dominating victory over West LA last Saturday.

The sophomore defensive back came up big for the Owls, scooping up a blocked field goal attempt from the Wildcats and taking off 100 yards the other way to score a touchdown.

Loera also had four tackles and one breakup on defense to help the Owls secure the 40-14 victory.

Citrus, which ranks No. 19 on both football polls, has two games left in the regular season, heading to Glendale College on Saturday for an important matchup. Both the Owls and the Vaqueros boast undefeated records in American Metro League action, with the conference championship on the line.
