Citrus College's Chandler Carthan was named the Southern California Football Association's Special Teams/All-Purpose Player of the Week after a stellar game at Grossmont College on Saturday.

The sophomore punter/linebacker played a huge role in the Owls' 35-16 victory over the Griffins, helping extend the Owls' winning streak to 17 games. He had seven punts in the game, averaging 54 yards per punt. Six of Carthan's punts were inside Grossmont's 20-yard line, including two that landed on the one-yard line.

Carthan also played a big role on defense and finished with 10 tackles, including one for loss.
