Carthan Named SCFA Defensive Player of the Week

Citrus College's Chandler Carthan picked up his second Southern California Football Association Player of the Week honor after a dominating performance on defense for the Owls last week.

Carthan was named the Defensive Player of the Week after posting 10 tackles, including an eight-yard sack and 3.5 tackles for loss in Citrus' 31-26 victory over No. 19-ranked Cerritos. He also grabbed an interception and returned it for 18 yards.

The No. 14-ranked Owls host No. 21-ranked East LA on Saturday at 1 p.m., looking to build on a two-game win streak.
