Citrus College's Sani Tuala is set to continue his collegiate career at a Power Five school, BYU.

The defensive lineman from Sydney, Australia, had a solid freshman campaign with the Owls, finishing the year with 13 tackles, including seven solo efforts. He also came up big with three sacks for 25 yards.

"Citrus has been an amazing experience, said Tuala. "I was humbled to be an Owl, along with my brothers on the football team. There's no experience like junior college, especially a California JuCo. The staff and coaches were always welcoming and I built great relationships with them. Citrus will always be meaningful for me."

Tuala is one of five transfers and 22 high school players joining the roster with the Cougars.

"Continuing with football and going to a Power Five school, BYU presents a new opportunity and pathway for me to fulfill my playing dream of the NFL," added Tuala. "Knowing that I'm going to a great program, with great people out in Provo, I know that I will continue my dreams, but my first home in the States is Citrus. Shout out to the bro Hayashi and Ant and the 1242 crew!"
