Owls Rank No.13 Ahead of Season Opener

The Citrus College Football team begin the 2024 season ranked No.13, chosen by the California Community College Football Coaches in the annual preseason poll, conducted by the JC Athletic Bureau. 

In 2023 the Owls went 8-3 and won the Western State Bowl, their second consecutive. With an impressive finish to their 2023 season, the Owls look to carry that momentum into tomorrow's season opener against College of the Canyons who rank No. 16. 

Citrus won their two meetings with Canyons last season, the first a 34-28 win in the season opener and the second being the last game of the year in the Western State Bowl at home where the Owls cruised to a 42-13 victory. 

The Owls will face off with the Cougars tomorrow, September 7th at 6 p.m. in an away game to begin the season.
