Fighting Owl Men's Basketball unloaded its offensive arsenal and walloped visiting WSC East conference rival Glendale College on Wednesday, utilizing the entire active Citrus roster. The Owls beat the Vaqueros 93-65, moving to 2-0 in conference play and 13-6 overall.

Citrus grabbed control of the game right off the bat and never looked back. Although Glendale led 8-6 for a moment early in the 1st half, Citrus would be in front for the duration of the game, leading by as many as 38 points.

The Owls were unstoppable on offense, shooting 62% as a team from the field, 48% from long range, and 92% from the free throw line. The Owls defense also stepped up to the challenge, holding the Vaqueros to just 10 points in the paint (compared to the 42 for the Owls) and forcing 16 turnovers that yielded 22 points on the flip side. The Citrus bench was instrumental in the win, outscoring the Glendale reserves 38-22.

The Owls had strong individual performances as well. Sam Gagliardi went 6 for 8 from the field, featuring 4 threes on just 5 attempts for 16 points. Big man Alex Cartwright continued to find his rhythm, matching Gagliardi's 16 points on perfect 6 for 6 shooting. Toby Okwoukei pitched in 10 points and snatched 6 rebounds, a game high. Kendal Frey, Jesse Elrod, William Delgado, and Tobin Kund all notched 8 points in the effort, off of the bench.

Citrus now sits atop the WSC East as the sole undefeated team in the conference. The Owls take to the hardwood again Saturday when they travel to the high desert to take on Barstow in a conference matchup. Tipoff is scheduled for 3:00.
