Citrus Claws Out Victory Over Cerro Coso

Citrus College tipped off its two-day tournament with a 76-52 victory over Cerro Coso Friday afternoon.

The Owls improve to 5-2 overall, while the Coyotes drop to 4-3 on the year.

Anthony Tello led two Owls in double figures, finishing with 13 points on 6-of-12 shooting. Aibigho Ujadughele followed with 12 points (4-for-7), while Jayden Johnston and Grant Martin (3-for-6) each chipped in nine points.

Citrus won the glass, out-rebounding Cerro Coso 44-to-34 with Martin grabbing a team-high seven boards.

The Owls are back in action on Saturday, closing out the Citrus Tournament at 7 p.m. against Porterville College.
