No. 10-ranked Citrus College had to dig deep to grab a 79-74 victory over No. 14-ranked LA Harbor.

The Owls improve to 11-2 with their eighth-straight win, while the Seahawks drop to 10-2 on the year and snap a three-game winning streak.

Aibigho Ujadughele led the Owls with a double-double, finishing with 15 points (4-for-9) and a career-high 17 rebounds – which also ranks fourth all-time in the Citrus record book. Anthony Tello followed with 13 points, while Grant Martin (5-for-11) and Rudy Suarez (4-for-7) chipped in 12 points apiece.

Citrus built a 10-point lead, but LA Harbor managed to cut it down to just one point with two minutes left to play. Despite a brief scoring drought, Uriah Foster banked in a shot from Chris Chiles to put the Owls in front by three, before Chiles hit two important free throws with 35 seconds left to further distance his team from the visitors.

The Seahawks made two free throws of their own to pull within a possession once again, but Tello grabbed a key defensive rebound and found a quick outlet to Foster, who slammed it home to seal the 79-74 victory.

Citrus takes a break for the holidays before closing out the 2022 portion of its schedule on Dec. 30 as Moorpark College comes to town for a 5 p.m. tip.
