No. 3-ranked Citrus College extended its winning streak to 14 straight with an 82-68 victory over Glendale College on Wednesday.
The Owls improve to 17-2 overall and hold onto their first-place position in the Western State Conference-South standings with a perfect 5-0 mark. The Vaqueros drop to 6-13 on the year and 0-5 in conference.
Anthony Tello led the Owls with 17 points after shooting 7-of-10 from the floor. Uriah Foster chipped in 14 points (4-for-8) and Chris Chiles finished with 11 points (5-for-12). Jayden Johnston was just on the cusp of double figures with nine points (3-for-6).
Citrus won the glass with Foster leading the Owls with six boards and Aibigho Ujadughele adding five rebounds.
After holding just a five-point lead at halftime, 37-32, the Owls ran away with the game halfway through the second half to secure the 82-68 victory.
The Owls head to Antelope Valley College on Saturday, tipping off at 7 p.m.
