No. 15-ranked Citrus College secured its share of the Western State Conference-South Championship Friday evening with a 74-64 victory over No. 9-ranked West LA College.
The Owls, who grabbed their sixth conference championship in seven seasons, improve to 21-7 on the year and 12-2 in WSC action, while the Wildcats slip to 24-4 overall, 12-2 in conference.
Three Owls finished the night in double figures with JJ Mitchell (5-for-18) and Tyrel Creger (6-for-15) each posting 16 points. Malik Khouzam added 12 points (5-for-11).
Mitchell grabbed 16 boards and Grant Martin snatched 10 missed shots to help the Owls out-rebound the Wildcats 51-to-42.
