Owls Take Down Pirates

Citrus College Men's Basketball secured thier fifth win of the season yesterday, Tuesday, November 19th in a 102-80 road win over Orange Coast College. 

Citrus College moves to 5-1 on the season while Orange Coast College goes to 2-3 on the year. 

The Owls and Pirates battled in a contested game for a good portion of the first half before the Owls pulled away to take a 48-37 lead into halftime. 

Citrus College went on a 13-0 scoring run midway through the second half to go up 78-52 and closed the game out from there. The Owls defense forced 22 turnovers, scoring 31 points off those turnovers while holding the Pirates to 21.7% from three-point range. Citrus College went 9-25 from three and hit 19 of thier 25 free throws while outrebounding OCC 52-39. 

The Owls were led by Tyler Isaak who scored 18 points on 7-8 from the field while adding four steals and four rebounds. Blake Ballard scored 16 points and KJ Perry added 13 points, three steals, two assists, two rebounds and one block. Brady Cook dropped 13 points off the bench, while Ryan Raad chipped in 10 points off the bench followed by Luis Marin who scored eight off the bench and led the Owls with eight rebounds. 

Citrus College will return home for a matchup with College of the Sequoias this Friday, November 22nd at 5 p.m.
