Owls Down Wildcats

Citrus College Men's Basketball earned a 124-94 win over West Los Angeles College last night, their fifth game in a row going over the century mark in points scored. 

Citrus College improves to 18-2 overall on the season and 6-0 in conference games, while West LA College moves to 12-6 overall and 3-1 in conference. 

The Owls shot 60.5% from the field, hitting 23-of-38 shots, while knocking down 6-of-14 three-pointers in the first half to take a 63-40 lead into halftime. 

The efficient scoring and lockdown defense continued in the second half; the Owls did not allow the Wildcats to score from behind the arc all game while forcing 22 turnovers. Citrus College held their largest lead of 38 points halfway through the second half, coasting to another dominant win. 

The Owls had six players in double figures, led by KJ Perry with 23 points, including a poster dunk early in the second half. Tyler Isaak scored 19 points with four assists, four rebounds and one steal. Amiri Meadows scored a season-high 16 points, adding seven rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block. JJ Mitchell recorded a double-double with 12 points, 11 rounds and two assists.  

Malik Khouzam scored 15 points off the bench while Brady Cook contributed 14 points, five rebounds, one assist and one steal off the bench. 

Citrus College will travel to Glendale College for their next conference game, this Wednesday January 29th at 7 p.m.
