Men's Basketball Rolls LA Valley

Citrus College Men's Basketball traveled to LA Valley College yesterday to grab another conference, defeating the Monarchs 122-75. 

After scoring 60 first half points while only allowing 37 points the Owls scored 62 second half points while holding the Monarchs to only 38 points. 

Citrus College connected on 44-of-90 from the field while going 14-of-41 from beyond the arc in the game. The Owls forced 33 turnovers, scoring 49 points off those turnovers while outscoring LA Valley in second chance points (21-5), points in the paint (48-36), fastbreak points (24-8), and bench points (50-13). Citrus held their largest lead of the game of 48 points with just over a minute remaining in the game. 

The Owls were led by Tyler Isaak who scored 24 points with five assists, five rebounds and three steals. KJ Perry scored 19 points with four assists, two rebounds, and two steals. JJ Mitchell recorded his third double-double in a row with 13 rebounds, 10 rebounds while adding four assists, two steals and one block. Pejan Slater scored 11 points with seven rebounds and one block. Brady Cook provided 16 points, four rebounds, three steals and one assist off the bench, while Blake Ballard scored 13 points with four rebounds, one assist and one steal off the bench. 

Citrus College will look to remain undefeated in the conference as they host Antelope Valley College this Wednesday, February 5th at 7 p.m.
