Owls Get Second Conference Win Over AVC

Citrus College Men's Basketball earned their 15th win in a row, defeating Antelope Valley College 103-89 tonight, giving the Owls their second conference win over the Marauders.
Tonight marked the eighth consecutive game in which the Owls have scored over 100 points, shooting 36-of-75 from the field and 10-of-29 from beyond the arc to pick up their 21st win of the season.
Citrus College improves to 21-2 overall and 9-0 in conference games, while Antelope Valley College goes to 11-12 overall and 3-6 in conference.
The Owls forced 26 turnovers, scoring 30 points off those turnovers while only allowing AVC to go 5-of-18 from three-point range. Citrus outscored Antelope Valley 28-18 in points in the paint and 33-17 in bench scoring with their largest lead of 21 points coming midway through the second half.
Citrus was led in scoring by Tyler Isaak with 28 points, JJ Mitchell with 19 points and KJ Perry with 17 points. Blake Ballard contributed 10 points off the bench and Brady Cook scored nine points with four steals, three rebounds, two assists and one block off the bench.
JJ Mitchell led the Owls with nine rebounds while Amiri Meadows and KJ Perry led the Owls with five assists each, all three recorded three steals in tonight's win.
The Owls will be on the road to matchup with College of the Canyons, a team they beat at home 111-77 back in January, this Saturday, February 8th at 5 p.m.
