Men's Basketball Remain Undefeated in Conference, Win 18th Straight

Citrus College Men's Basketball won their 18th consecutive game tonight, defeating Bakersfield College 102-85.
Citrus College improves to 24-2 overall on the season and remains undefeated in conference games at 12-0. Bakersfield College goes to 11-15 overall and 3-9 in conference games on the season.
The Owls were tested early as the Renegades kept the score close through most of the first half. Citrus started to heat up from beyond the arc, hitting 7-of-15 in the first half while forcing 18 Bakersfield College turnovers. The Owls led 58-44 at the half after shooting 20-of-44 from the field and going 11-of-14 from the free throw line.
Although Citrus did not have a great shooting effort in the second half, they forced 14 more Renegade turnovers and only allowed 36 points. Overall, the Owls outscored the Renegades in points off turnovers (32-16), second chance points (29-15) and bench points (35-23).
Citrus College went over 100 points for the 12th consecutive game thanks to a balanced scoring effort, led by Tyler Isaak's 22 points, six rebounds, four steals and one assist. KJ Perry had 17 points and added four rebounds, four steals, one assist and one block. Amiri Meadows dropped 12 points with four rebounds, two assists and two steals. Pejan Slater had 11 points, eight rebounds, two assists and one steal. Blake Ballard provided 17 points off the bench and added three rebounds and one assist.
Citrus College will play their final road conference game of the season when they travel to West LA College next Wednesday, February 19th at 7 p.m.
