Owls Clinch Third Straight Conference Championship

Citrus College Men's Basketball defeated Glendale College on Friday night 125-101 to go undefeated in conference and clinch their third consecutive WSC South Championship.
Citrus College ends their regular season with a 26-2 record overall while going a perfect 14-0 in conference. Glendale College finishes their season at 11-17 overall and 5-9 in conference games.
The Owls put up over 100 points for the 13th straight game to win their 20th consecutive game on Sophomore Night. Glendale College kept the game interesting in the first five minutes as both teams struggled to score but the Owls found their form after a slow start. Citrus went 18-of-37 from the field and 6-of-19 from beyond the arc in the first half and forced 13 Vaquero turnovers to take a 57-42 lead into halftime.
Citrus caught fire in the second half, shooting 65% from the field while knocking down 8-of-16 three-pointers. The Owls forced 10 more turnovers in the second half which contributed to Citrus outscoring Glendale 36-17 in points off turnovers in the game. The Owls outscored the Vaqueros 58-36 in points in the paint, 21-6 in fastbreak points and 62-14 in bench points on the night. Citrus went up by 31 points with less than three minutes in the game to secure the undefeated conference record.
The Owls' Sophomores stepped up on Sophomore Night as both Tyler Isaak and Brady Cook each scored 20 points. Isaak added three assists, two rebounds and two steals while Cook added four assists, three steals and one rebound. Malik Khouzam scored 10 points with five assists, one steal and one rebound on the night. Blake Ballard had 11 points, two assists and one rebound off the bench.
JJ Mitchell led the Owls with 12 rebounds and chipped in a game-high eight assists while scoring seven points and securing one steal. Ryan Raad hit two 3-pointers on his way to 10 points off the bench. Sophomore Brandon Suber had six points, six assists, four rebounds and one steal off the bench. KJ Perry had 12 points, three rebounds and one assist while Amiri Meadows scored 14 points with four steals and one block.
Citrus College is headed to the 2025 3C2A Men's Basketball Southern California Regionals and will host the winner of No. 15 Pasadena City College and No. 18 Cuesta College on Saturday, March 1st at 7 p.m.
