Owls' Historic Season Comes to End in State Semifinals

The Citrus College Men's Basketball team's historic 2024-25 season ended after a hard-fought 111-97 loss to City College of San Francisco (CCSF) in the 3C2A State Championship semifinals.
The Owls wrapped up their impressive campaign with a 29-3 record — the program's most wins in a season since the 2008 State Championship team. Citrus College went went a perfect 14-0 to capture their third consecutive Western State Conference- South Title.
Meanwhile, CCSF improved to 31-1 and advanced to face Fullerton in the State Championship game tomorrow.
Both teams came out firing in a high-scoring and efficient first half, with each side shooting over 50% from the field. Citrus connected on 4-of-8 from beyond the arc, while CCSF hit 5-of-13 from deep. The Owls held their largest lead of eight points midway through the first half, but CCSF's three-point shooting kept them within striking distance. At halftime, Citrus held a narrow 53-50 lead.
Tyler Isaak led the Owls with 13 points and four rebounds in the opening half, while Amiri Meadows and KJ each contributed 12 points.
The Owls fought hard in the second half, but CCSF's ability to hit clutch three-pointers and crash the glass proved to be the difference. The Rams outrebounded Citrus 19-12 in the second half, creating key second-chance opportunities.
With Citrus trailing 83-77 and eight minutes remaining, CCSF went on a decisive 6-0 run to push the lead to 89-77. Down the stretch, a few tough calls and missed shots did not go Citrus' way, allowing CCSF to extend their lead and seal the 111-97 victory.
Despite the loss, Citrus' remarkable season will be remembered as one of the best in program history.

Both KJ Perry and Tyler Isaak were named to the 3C2A Men's Basketball State Championship All-Tournament Team for thier efforts against Las Positas College and City College of San Fransisco.
KJ Perry averaged 23 points, 2.5 assists, 2.5 rebounds, .5 steals and .5 blocks per game.
Tyler Isaak averaged 20.5 points, 2 assists, 7.5 rebounds and .5 steals per game.
