Glendale, CA -- After an impressive second place finish last week at their home hosted match, the Owls limped to a last place finish on Monday afternoon at the WSC Event hosted by Glendale College. In the final regular season match of the year, Citrus had just two players come in under 80 as they fell to last for the second time this season.

Sophomore Brett Smith led the Owls on Monday, firing a 76. Fellow sophomore Jacob Rodriguez came in one stroke back of him with a 77. After that it was a pair of freshmen who scored for the Owls. Ricky Hunter came into the clubhouse with a 81, while John Gaynor came in a shot behind him with an 82. Sophomore Daniel Olivas rounded out the scoring with an 85. As a team the Owls shot a 401, five strokes back of fifth and sixth place Bakersfield and Allan Hancock Colleges.

The Owls have just one more match scheduled for this 2013 campaign. It'll be up to them whether there is more to come. Citrus will take part in the WSC Championships next Monday at Soule Park Golf Course.
