Santa Maria, CA -- Citrus College freshman Takakazu Furukawa shot a two under par 70, and posted the third lowest individual round of the day last week at the WSC Allan Hancock tournament. As a team though, the Owls finished sixth overall out of the eight competing teams.

Aside from Furukawa, freshman Joshua Herman had the second lowest round of 80. After that it was a trio of 82's. Sophomore's Joshua Davis, Homerson So, and Matt Nolan all carded the 82's. As a team, the Owls shot a 396, three strokes back of fifth place Antelope Valley College, and 11 strokes back of fourth place Bakersfield College.

The Owls will be back out on the links this coming week when they participate in their own home hosted WSC Event. Citrus will play host to the seven other conference schools at Marshall Canyon Golf Course, starting at 11:00 AM.
