Oxnard, CA -- The Citrus College Men's Golf team resumed Western State Conference play on Monday afternoon at the WSC Event hosted by Ventura College at River Ridge Golf Club. The Owls lost a card-off with Bakersfield College and settled for a 6th place finish.

Freshman Charles Ornelas, taking part in his first WSC Match of the season, was the leader in the clubhouse, posting a 77. Behind him were a pair of 78's shot by sophomore Justin Hung and freshman Samuel Mangiaterra. Freshman Tyler Bliss and sophomore John Gaynor rounded out the scores on the day with rounds of 81 and 85 respectively.

As a team, the Owls shot a combined score of 399, same as Bakersfield College. The Renegades won the card-off though, winning it on one of the last possible holes.

Citrus will take a break from action over the next week, but will pick things back up on Monday March 23rd when they participate in the WSC Event hosted by Antelope Valley College. The event is set for a 10:00 AM start at Antelope Valley Country Club in Palmdale.
