Rancho Mirage, CA - The Citrus College Men's Golf team participated in the State Preview tournament hosted by College of the Desert recently. The Owls went toe to toe with the SoCal's best and a few of the top schools in the North at the State Preview Tournament hosted by College of the Desert. The Owls finished just 13th as a team, but had some strong individual showings.

Sophomore Tyler Bliss put together one of his best rounds of 2016 firing a 72, finishing just one stroke out of medalist honors at Desert Island Country Club. Freshman Brandon Dooley was the only other Owl in the 70's shooting a respectable 78. After that it was sophomore Benjamin Bencomo who came into the clubhouse with an 83, followed by a pair of 85's carded by freshmen Kurtis Carsick and Trevor Perry.

As a team, the Owls shot a 403, a full 10 shots behind the next closest team, 12th place Cuyamaca College. The Owls will be back in action on Monday when they resume conference play at the WSC Event hosted by Antelope Valley College. Tee-time is set for 10:00 AM at Antelope Valley Country Club in Palmdale.
