Bliss Continues Strong Play; Owls Finish 5th at WSC AVC

Lancaster, CA - After a two week break, the Citrus College Men's Golf program returned to WSC action on Monday afternoon at the WSC Event hosted by Antelope Valley College. Scores were high at Antelope Valley Country Club, but sophomore Tyler Bliss continued his recent strong stretch with a team leading 82, while the Owls finished 5th as a team.

 Sophomore Benjamin Bencomo was the next lowest score of the day with an 85. After that freshman Brandon Dooley and sophomore Tyler Hoefferle each recorded 88's. Freshman Kurtis Carasik rounded out the scoring rounds with an 89, same as freshman Trevor Perry whose round was thrown out.

On the whole, the Owls posted a combined score of 432, finishing just three strokes ahead of sixth place Allan Hancock College and 17 strokes back of fourth place Santa Barbara City College and 19 strokes behind second and third place Ventura College and Antelope Valley Colleges.

The Owls will be hosting the rest of the conference this coming Monday at San Dimas Canyons Golf Course. Tee-time is set for 10:30 AM.
