Owls Post Lowest Scores of the Season

Citrus College had a strong showing at the WSC Invite at the Olivas Golf Course, grabbing its highest finish as a team this season and took fifth with its lowest score of the season (396).

Three Owls shot in the 70s, led by Cortez Herrera, who posted his best score of the season with a 72 to sit tied for fifth. John Dearth followed with a 73 – tying his personal best – while Kerry Valenzuela carded a 76, also a personal-best score.

Matt Ibarra and Adrian Kennedy rounded out the scorers with respective scores of 87 and 88.

Dearth currently sits tied for second with the lowest average in the Western State Conference with a 73.75.

The Owls look to build on their performance and head to Santa Maria CC on Monday, teeing off at 10 a.m.
