Owls Take Third at Second WSC Event

Citrus College continued to see improvements and grabbed third at the second Western State Conference event of the year on Monday.

For the second-straight week, the Owls shaved 20 strokes off their team score, posting a 398 as a team to take third. Citrus was 14 strokes off second-place Santa Barbara City College and 20 strokes off first-place College of the Canyons.

Kabir Chadha led the Owls with a sixth-place finish, carding a 76 on the day. Kerry Valenzuela was just two strokes behind with a 78, while Daichi Nishisu and Lorenzo Herrera each posted an 82. Ashtin Mount rounded out the scorers with an 82, while Matthew Ibarra was the drop score with an 84.

Citrus takes a week off before heading to the RCC Invitational on Mon., Feb. 27.
