Owls Finish Sixth at WSC No.2

The Citrus College Men's Golf team competed in the Western State Conference No. 2 yesterday at River Ridge Golf Club in Oxnard, CA. The Owls battled against seven other conference teams, finishing sixth overall with a team score of 405. The tournament was hosted by Ventura College on River Ridge's Victoria Lakes Course, known for its strategic layout and tough greens.

Andrew Gashan and Alex Morales led the Owls, each carding a 78, placing them among the team's top performers. TJ Holstrom followed closely with an 81, while Javier Alvarado added an 83 to the team total. Cameron Vallaro rounded out Citrus' scoring with an 85, and Carter Gauthier's 88 served as the drop score.

The Owls remained competitive throughout the tournament, aiming to climb the conference rankings in the upcoming events. Citrus College will return to action next Monday, February 17, when they travel to Alisal Ranch Golf Course in Solvang, CA for WSC No. 3, hosted by Santa Barbara City College.
