Glendora, CA (Men's Soccer) -- For 45 minutes, the Citrus College Men's Soccer team hung with visiting Oxnard College. The Owls wilted though in the second half getting outshot 10-2 and giving up a pair of goals in a 3-1 loss.

Oxnard didn't take long to get on the board when they used a corner kick to go up 1-0 in just the 5th minute. After that the Owls calmed down, keeping even with the Condors in the first 45 as Oxnard took five shots to Citrus' 2.

Citrus would bide their time waiting for a good chance and got it late in the first half when they drew a penalty in the box. Freshman Ismael Rodriguez stepped and took the penalty kick putting it in the goal to tie the game up one goal a piece.

In the second half though, things fell apart. The Condors dominated the ball outshooting the Owls by eight. Citrus didn't get very many chances, and gave up two scores as they ended up falling by those two second half goals.

With the loss, Citrus falls to 1-3-1 and 0-2 in Western State Conference play. The Owls will be off until next Friday when they host WSC foe Moorpark. Kick-off is set for 2:00 PM.
