Moorpark, CA -- The Citrus College Men's Soccer team went on the road on Tuesday afternoon and came back to Citrus with a 2-2 tie. The Owls actually led late, but a last minute Raider goal had the Owls settling for the tie.
Moorpark got on the board first during Tuesday's contest, but Citrus freshman Ryo Takamine answered in the 22nd minute to make it 1-1. The score would remained tied over the next 60 minutes, until Takamine briefly gave Citrus a 2-1 lead in the 82nd minute. It didn't last long though as the Raiders added the final goal of the contest in stoppage time to make it a 2-2 tie.
With the tie, Citrus moves to 4-7-4 overall and 3-5-3 in Western State Conference play. The Owls will be back at home on Friday when they take on College of the Canyons in another conference contest. The match is set for a 2:00 PM start following the women's game.
