Santa Barbara, CA -- The Citrus College Men's Soccer team outshot their host team on Tuesday afternoon, and even stake themselves to an early 1-0 lead. The Owls couldn't hang on though as they ended up falling to Santa Barbara City College 3-1.

Freshman Pedro Felix put the Owls up 1-0 early with a goal in the eighth minute. From that point forward Citrus continued to apply offensive pressure outshooting the Vaqueros 13-11 on the game. As they have been won't to do all season long though, Citrus struggled to frame the shots on goal as Santa Barbara posted a 6-5 advantage in that category.

Still though, Citrus had it's chances, but just couldn't come through. Santa Barbara evened the game up in the 15th minute and then took the lead in the 36th minute. The Vaqueros put the game away for good in the second half with their third goal of the day.

With the loss, Citrus drops to 4-9-4 overall and 3-7-3 in Western State Conference games. Citrus will be on the road again on Friday when they head even farther North to take on Allan Hancock College at 6:00 PM.
