Oxnard, CA -- The Citrus College Men's Soccer team took to the road on Friday afternoon to take on perennial WSC power Oxnard College. The Owls were forced to take a tough pill on the day, falling to the Condors 8-0.
The Owls really struggled to get any sort of offense going, as they were held to just three total shots on the day. Oxnard meanwhile rattled off 14 shots on goal at the Citrus keepers. The Owls did earn a trio of corner kicks, but nothing was made of any of them as they were shutout for just the second time this year.
With the loss, Citrus falls to 1-5 overall on the year and 0-2 in Western State Conference play. The Owls will be on the road again this coming Friday when they take on Moorpark College in another conference contest. First touch is set for 4:00 PM at Moorpark.
