Santa Maria, CA -- The Cirrus College Men's Soccer team took the long trip up the central coast and came back home darn near empty handed, as the Owls dueled with their host Allan Hancock College to a scoreless tie.

Friday's WSC title wasn't without its fireworks. The Owls managed 18 total shots on the day, 11 in the first half and seven more in the second. Citrus just failed to put any into the back of the goal.

Meanwhile Citrus' freshman keeper Cesar Valverde faced a fair amount of incoming and acquitted himself quite nicely. Valverde stopped seven shots and recorded his second shutout of the year.

With the tie, Citrus' record moves to 6-11-1 overall and 5-8-1 in WSC play. The Owls will be back at home for their final home game of the 2013 season when they host Santa Monica College for a 3:00 PM start.
