Glendale, CA -- The Citrus College Men's Soccer team closed out their 2013 campaign on Friday evening at Glendale College. What a way to finish. The Owls exploded for seven goals as they closed out one of their best offensive seasons in program history.

Citrus took an early lead in Friday's contest thanks to a defensive miscue by the Vaqueros. The Owls went up 1-0 on an own goal by Glendale in just the third minute. Citrus would be held off the board until the 37th minute when freshman Grayson Iwasaki took a pass from freshman Cody McNeal to make it 2-0.

The Owls then went crazy in the second half. Iwasaki extended his program single season record for goals in a season to 12 with another score in the 48th minute, this one off a pass from freshman Dylan Kiss. Freshman Shusuke Kajiwara then scored six minutes later off an assist from freshman Takuro Kawashima.

Citrus went up 5-0 after another Glendale own goal, and then got an unassisted goal from Kiss in the 70th minute and a score from freshman Michael Lozano with freshman Antonio Bernal assisting in the 77th minute.

With the win, Citrus' 2013 season comes to a close with a 7-11-2 overall record and 6-8-2 record in Western State Conference play.
