Moorpark, CA — The Citrus College Men's Soccer team hit the road on Tuesday afternoon to take on Moorpark College in another WSC clash. The Owls got a tie for the road, as they finished knotted up at one all with the host Raiders.

Most of the offense and all of the scoring came in the firs half of play. Citrus fired off seven of it's eleven shots on the afternoon in the first 45 minutes, and freshman starting keeper Oswaldo Martinez saw six of his seven saves came in the first half.

Moorpark would score first getting a 1-0 lead thanks to a goal in the 36th minute. The Owls didn't wait long to answer though, as freshman Adrian Vera Pascual scored three minutes later to even the contest up at one all.

That would be all the scoring on the day, as both teams pitched shutouts in the second half. The seven saves by Martinez in the tie, match the second most in a single match for an Owl keeper so far this year.

With the tie, Citrus moves to 2-4-2 overall and 1-2-1 in WSC play. The Owls will stay out on the road over the next week and half, with their road trip continuing on Friday at College of the Canyons. That match is set for a 4:00 PM start.
