Glendora, CA -- When the Citrus College Men's Soccer team hosted second place College of the Canyons on Tuesday afternoon, things were mostly bad for the Owls. Citrus suffered one of their worst losses of the year, in a 5-1 setback to the Cougars.

Citrus held their own against Canyons in the first half despite playing most of the first 45 minutes on their heels. The Owls were outshot by the Cougars 6-0, but only two of those shots were on goal, including the first goal of the game in the 38th minute.

The Owls would keep the slate clean the rest of the first half, but the dominoes fell quickly in the second. Canyons scored four more unanswered goals to start the second half, in the 55th, 60th, 63rd, and 73rd minutes. Citrus' lone answer in the game would come when freshman Shun Sekugichi scores his first of the season in the 85th minute of play.

With the loss, Citrus drops to 3-9-5 overall and 2-7-4 in WSC play. The Owls will be at home once again this Friday when they play host to Santa Barbara City College at 11:00 AM.
