Glendora, CA -- Former Citrus College Men's Soccer player Trey Mitchell was signed by the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer. Mitchell was announced as a new member of the Galaxy on March 27th.

Mitchell played two seasons with the Owls during their 2009 and 2010 campaigns. As a freshman Mitchell recorded 52 saves and a 1.74 goals against average. Mitchell also tied a program record for saves in a game during that inaugural season with 11 saves in a game at Allan Hancock College. Mitchell is third all-time in program history with 81 career saves and second in program history with a 2.09 career GAA.

"Trey is a talented goalkeeper who can provide us with solid depth," said LA Galaxy Head Coach and General Manager Bruce Arena in a release by the Galaxy. "We are happy to add him to our roster and look forward to his contributions as a member of our team."

After Citrus College, Mitchell moved on to California State University Dominguez Hills where he played in 2013 and 2014. In his two seasons at Dominguez Hills, Mitchell made 20 starts with 71 saves and a 0.85 goals against average, the fourth best mark in that program's history.
