Moorpark, CA -- It took eight games, but the Citrus College Men's Soccer team found themselves on the right side of the scoreboard at long last on Tuesday afternoon. The Owls played a back and forth affair with host Moorpark College before edging the Raiders 2-0.

Citrus was aggressive offensively from the jump earning five corners and taking eight shots in the first half. Freshman Emilio Del Villar got the Owls on the board first with a strike in the 29th minute putting Citrus up one.

The Owls continued it's strong play in the second half earning three more corners and taking seven more shots. Freshman Federico Hurtado put the game on ice in the 89th minute taking a pass from Del Villar and burying it to give the Owls their 2-0 win. Sophomore keeper Bryan Landgreen was strong in net for the Owls recording his first shutout of the season and coming up with eight saves.

With the win, Citrus improves to 1-6-1 overall and 1-3 in WSC play. The Owls will be back at home on Friday afternoon when they play host to College of the Canyons at 2:00 PM.
