Oxnard Too Much for Owls

Glendora, CA -- Over the past ten seasons the Citrus College Men's Soccer team has earned just two results against Oxnard College, and there's good reason for that as Oxnard has been really, really good in that stretch, dominating the WSC on the whole. That trend continued on Friday afternoon when the Owls played host to first place Oxnard, as the Condors proved too much in a 4-0 loss for Citrus.

Oxnard got it going early, scoring the only goal they would need with a strike in the 7th minute by Gustavo Navarro. Navarro put it on the Owls again in the 19th minute, before taking a break from scoring with an assist on the Condors goal in the 70th minute. Navarro wouldn't be done though as he finished off the hat trick in the 78th minute with Oxnard's fourth and final goal of the day.

On the afternoon, Oxnard rattled off 11 total shots, compared to just four for Citrus. The loss drops the Owls to 2-11-1 overall and 2-8-1 in WSC play. Citrus be back home on Friday when they host Moorpark College at 1:00 PM.
