San Marcos, CA - The Citrus College Men's Soccer team improved to 2-1 on the young season on Friday afternoon thanks to some late heroics from freshman Enrique Acosta. Acosta scored the game winner in stoppage time in the second half to give the Owls a 1-0 win over host Palomar College.

The game was even through the first half, with Citrus rattling off five shots to four for the Comets. In the second half though, the Owls controlled the tempo, holding Palomar without a shot, while firing off five more. The fifth and final was the most important as Acosta took a pass from sophomore Jesse Baca and put it in the back of the night in stoppage time to give the Owls the victory.

The Owls will be back in action on Tuesday September 6th when they travel to Norco College for a 4:00 PM showdown.
