Victorville, CA - After starting off Western State Conference South Division play a promising 1-0-1, the Citrus College Men's Soccer team has hit a wall in it's last two contests. The Owls followed up last Tuesday's 2-1 setback to Glendale College with their second straight loss, 1-4, their worst of the conference schedule to date.

The Rams hit the Owls early on often on Friday afternoon, scoring in the 15th and 24th minutes. Victor Valley kept their foot on the gas in the second half, scoring in both the 54th and 77th minute to more than ice the game. Citrus' lone score on the afternoon came in the 80th minute when freshman Ramon Gutierrez Jr. scored a goal for the fifth time in Citrus' last six matches.

With the loss, Citrus drops to 6-5-2 overall and 1-2-1 in WSC South play. The Owls will get a chance to rebound on Tuesday afternoon when they head back to Citrus College Stadium to take on College of the Canyons at 4:00 PM.
