Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Men's Soccer team lost their third straight contest on Tuesday afternoon in what amounted to a defensive struggle with visiting College of the Canyons. The match featured just nine total shots, only five of which ended up on frame, as the Cougars got out of Glendora with a 1-0 win.

The two teams would play to a scoreless tie at the intermission. Canyons mustered just one shot in the first half, while the Owls managed just two in a game that mostly took place in the middle third of the field. Canyons wouldn't fare much better in the second half, although the shot they ended up taking was on the money.

An Owls miscue in their third of the pitch, resulted in a turnover that got to Canyons' Adrian Arguello. Arguello charged towards the goal, bringing out freshman keeper Jorge Quinone Guerrero. Quinones Guerrero would make an early lunge at the ball and miss-time, giving Arguello a wide open net to gently put the ball away in the 55th minute.

Citrus would get five cracks deep in Cougars territory in the second half, but didn't really manage to get a great look off. In the end, the Owls couldn't find an answer offensively as they fell to 6-6-2 overall and 1-3-1 in WSC South play.

The Owls will hit the road for four of their final five matches beginning on Friday. The Owls will travel to Antelope Valley College for a 4:00 PM showdown with the Marauders.
