Citrus Men's Soccer kicked off the 2018 season last week, as it opened up at home against El Camino on Tuesday, and travelled Saturday to take on foothill rival Chaffey.

Coming off of a 2017 WSC Conference Championship, the Fighting Owls will look to dial in their lineup early in the preseason, with it's sights set on a repeat championship in 2018.

The Owls fell short Tuesday against El Camino, allowing 3 goals early in the first half (a hat trick by El Camino's Eduardo Grados) and battled for every inch they could take in the second half, but fell short by the final whistle, 1-3.

Citrus had no shortage of attempts on goal, with 16 shots as a team, and Head Coach Fred Bruce-Oliver was able to get 6 reserves some playing time en route to the loss.

Saturday, Citrus would come up short of the goal once again, dropping a 0-2 contest to hosting Chaffey College. The Owls struggled to ignite, taking just 6 shots in the entire match. Coach Bruce-Oliver would once again find playing time for his bench, with 21 players notching play time.

Citrus plays again at home on Friday at 3:00 PM, as it hosts Santa Barbara.
