Citrus College scored just before halftime to equalize but couldn't overcome Santa Monica Community College in a 2-1 defeat Friday.
The Owls drop to 2-9 on the year, while the Corsairs improve to 4-4-2.
Luis Chavez Esparza scored the lone goal for the Owls in the 40th minute off an assist from Andrew Garibian.
Citrus starts Western State Conference action next week as it heads to the College of the Canyons on Tuesday.
