Citrus College prevented the shutout with a late goal but couldn't overcome a 3-1 loss to Glendale College Tuesday.
The Owls drop to 2-12-1, 0-3-1 in the Western State Conference-South. The Vaqueros improve to 3-7-5, 1-2-1 with the win.
Dustin Ramos scored the lone goal for Citrus in the 78th minute. The Owls drew a penalty kick after a Vaquero committed a foul in the 18-yard box. Ramos stepped up to the spot and easily sent it home, catching the Glendale goalkeeper going the wrong way.
Citrus is back in action on Friday, hosting College of Canyons at 3:00 p.m.
