Ramos, Jimenez to Continue Playing Together

Ramos, Jimenez to Continue Playing Together

Two Citrus College men's soccer players get to continue their playing careers together at Life Pacific University. Dustin Ramos and Ezequiel Jimenez join the Warriors and look to help build on the program that started in 2020.

Ramos joins LPU after two years with the Owls as a forward. This past season, Ramos scored three goals, including a perfect two-for-two on penalty kick attempts, and had one game-winning goal.

"It's a great feeling," said Ramos. "I love soccer and I'm glad I am able to keep doing what I love to do the most at a different level and at the same time receive an education. I'm beyond grateful. I'm ready to keep working."

Jimenez also played two years for the Owls, holding down the posts as a goalkeeper. This past season, he posted 68 saves and had a shutout on the year.

"For me to keep playing college soccer is unreal," said Jimenez. "To think I would even go to college and play at the junior college level is already amazing for me. Now I'm going to do it for two more years, which makes me feel really accomplished."

While they might play in opposite positions on the lineup, Ramos and Jimenez have developed a special friendship over their two years at Citrus and will have a familiar face when they join their new squad.

"When I found out Dustin was going to LPU, it made me happy knowing I wouldn't do this alone like I did my first year of college," said Jimenez. "He was one of my closest teammates and friend this season!"

"I was excited [too]," added Ramos. "Ezequiel is a good friend/teammate of mine and I know we'll be successful on this next journey."
