Citrus College exploded for three goals in the second half en route to a 3-1 victory over Imperial Valley.
The Owls improve to 2-2-1 on the year, while IVC drops to 0-5-0.
Jesus Arguelles got the ball rolling in the 61st minute off an assist from Fernando Alfaro. After collecting the ball at midfield, Alfaro turned and laid off a perfect pass behind IVC's back line, allowing Arguelles to run onto it and easily send it past the visitor's goalkeeper.
Two and a half minutes later, Citrus struck again. Alfaro drove in a corner kick to the near post and Ivan Rosales tucked it away.
Javier Torres all but sealed the victory with a goal off a Matt Morales assist in the 78th minute. Morales found Torres all alone at the top of the 18-yard box and played a through ball for him to run onto, allowing Torres to one-touch it past the IVC goalkeeper.
IVC managed to sneak one in before time expired, but the Owls walked away with the 3-1 victory.
Citrus remains at home, hosting San Diego Mesa on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
