Owls Opens Conference Against Vaqueros

Citrus College opened Western State Conference-South action Tuesday at Glendale College, dropping a 5-0 loss.

The Owls slip to 2-6-3 on the year and start 0-1-0 in conference. The Vaqueros improve to 6-7-1 overall and begin WSC-South action with a 1-0-0 mark.

Jose Alvarez-Novales had two dangerous chances for Citrus, putting both his shots on goal to force Glendale's goalkeeper to make two of his seven saves in the game.

Manny Hernande made four saves in goal for the Owls.

Citrus heads to the College of the Canyons on Friday for a 6 p.m. kickoff, hoping to snap a four-game slide.
