Five Owls Earn All-WSC Recognition

Five Citrus College men's soccer players picked up All-Western State Conference honors following the conclusion of the season.

Lance Becker led the pack with first-team honors, while David Orozco and Andrew Garibian picked up second-team recognition. Matt Morales and Jose Alvarez-Novales rounded out the group with honorable mention distinction.

Becker started all 18 games for the Owls as one of the captains. He helped anchor the Owl backline but also got into the attack and scored three goals on the year and assisted once.

Orozco finished the year with a team-high five goals in 17 games played. He also assisted twice on the year and finished with 12 points.

Garibian, another Citrus captain, finished his sophomore season with two goals and two assists in the midfield for the Owls.

Morales started all 18 games for Citrus, scoring three goals and assisting four times on the year. He finished with 10 points and scored one game-winning goal in the Owls' 3-0 victory over Southwestern College.

Alvarez-Novales made 17 appearances in the Owl backline and finished his collegiate debut with one goal. His first collegiate goal came in the last game of the season as Citrus dropped a close 3-2 battle at Antelope Valley College.
